| The Fort Lee Film Commission’s mission is to promote the role of Fort Lee as birthplace of the American film industry; to encourage filmmakers to use Fort Lee as a film location through the development of studio space in cooperation with the business community; and to assist area filmmakers through the creation of an annual film festival that will incorporate the existing Jersey Filmmakers of Tomorrow High School Student Film Festival. The Fort Lee Film Commission is also the leading advocate for inclusion of a 3-screen cinema and attached film museum into Redevelopment Area 5 (formerly the Centuria Project) in the center of the borough. | |
